A variety of Earth Day and Arbor Day activities engaging the student body of Read School and community volunteers at Read School and Svihra Park including Trash cleanup, planting seeds and gardening with Green Village Initiative, Invasive Plant Management, Outdoor Classroom improvements, Painting Projects such as garbage cans and playground improvements, Northeast Horticultural Services will lend support for the ceremonial tree planting for the Arbor Day Program to celebrate 10 years as a Tree City USA, and other educational programs to promote environmental awareness.
